The reading light will be switched on again for the reading campaign to be held during the autumn of 2011. This will be a nationwide event, which will spread across libraries of Finland. The campaign will culminate during Polar Night Weekend in 11-12 November 2011.
The Polar Night Weekend features guests from the worlds of literature, music and research. The themes of the weekend are sleep, sleeplessness, premonitions in dreams and daydreams.
A booklet with literature and music on the theme of sleep will be prepared in conjunction with the campaign. The material will be exhibited in the Turku Main Library in November.
