Turku 2011 Foundation

The Turku 2011 Foundation is responsible for the implementation of Turku European Capital of Culture 2011. The foundation is charged with the co-ordination and partial funding of the projects to be selected for the Turku 2011 project. In addition, the services include production support, research programme, digital capital of culture, communications and corporate co-operation.

The Foundation started operations at the turn of the year 2007-2008. The Chairman of the new Foundation's Board appointed 5 November 2012 is Turku City Board's Chairperson Minna Arve. With effect from January 1st, 2013, the former Chief Executive Officer Cay Sevón acts as Foundation Representative.
