- Check your ticket! Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. If the Museum Centre of Turku has to cancel a sauna shift due to overwhelming reasons (such as thunderstorms, strikes etc.), the price of the ticket will be refunded upon showing the ticket. The Museum Centre of Turku is not liable for any other costs incurred. The Museum Centre of Turku is not liable for lost tickets.
- During one sauna shift, the sauna bather can use the sauna according to the max number of people as indicated in the brochure/ on the website.
- Documentation entitling the use of discount tickets (senior citizen discounts etc.) must be carried and displayed upon the sauna attendant’s request.
- Bring your own towel and a swimsuit; visitors must wear a swimsuit in the sauna.
- The shifts begin at every hour and end ten to the hour (i.e., for example, 12 noon-12.50 and 1 pm–1.50 pm)
- * exception: Jan-Erik Andersson’s The Sounding Dome Sauna, which does not have the same shift system as the other saunas.
- It is prohibited to eat, smoke and drink alcohol in the sauna. The saunas may not be used while under the influence of alcohol. If a visitor is intoxicated or behave in an inappropriate way he or she can not be allowed to enter the sauna. The ticket will not be refunded.
- Please follow general rules and neatness when using the saunas.
- Please use a bench cloth, which is included in the ticket price.
- Each sauna has an attendant who takes care of the heating, water and the firewood as well as the general order and neatness. The sauna attendant also checks the tickets and takes care of the sauna shifts. The persons who are taking a sauna are obliged to follow the instructions given by the sauna supervisor.
- The common sauna shifts are for both men and women. However, there are separate changing rooms for men and women.
- Visitors may bathe in a sauna only if their health allows it. Do not take a sauna if you are sick, as you might infect others.
- Visitors who are bathing in the Solaris and the Hot Cube saunas can use the outdoor showers in the Ekoluoto Art Park. When bathing in the Sounding Dome Sauna, the visitors shall use the showers of the Kupittaa outdoor swimming pool area. Sauna Obscura is located close to the Saaronniemi beach and the visitors may use the shower which is on the beach.
- Visitors must bathe without shampoo or other washing products for environmental reasons.
- The saunas are mainly closed during thunderstorms.
- The right of any alterations is reserved.
