The Central Park of Culture and Exercise area hosts now three new artworks by different artists. These functional artworks inspire exercisers in their activities.

The functional artworks will combine accessibility, usability, aesthetics and creative work. People who exercise or simply spend time by the river can use the artworks for inspiration for exercise or for having a moment of rest or play. Thanks to their aesthetic nature, the artworks will also vitalise the urban environment.

Functional works of art include:

  • Eero Merimaa: Some Technoflowers
  • Sakari Peltola: A Pen and a Tough Bone
  • Oona Tikkaoja: Hide-And-Seek

Oona Tikkaoja´s Hide-and-Seek is also a cultural exercise route. More information on cultural exercise routes.

The Central Park of Culture and Exercise produced also a Poetry Wall together with Paroc Panel System Oy Ab. The Poetry Wall is situated in the yard of Nummi´s library.
