THE FLUX AURA 2011 ART WORKS
The art works for Flux Aura were chosen in April 2010. The call for applications for environmental art had gone out in spring 2010, and it was open for artists from Southwest Finland. They were instructed to choose a partner from either Finland or abroad to work with. By the deadline 49 proposals were received, by a total of 80 artists.
The themes for the art works were the River Aura, flowing water, the city and life and nature surrounding the river.
From among the 49 proposals, the jury, which cnsisted of PhD Tuula Karjalainen, Professor Villu Jaanisoo and the representatives of the Turku Artists' Association, chose 12 artists or groups to realize their art works.
