User information record for the www.turku2011.fi service
4. Purpose of processing personal information / purpose of record use
Personal information is used for notifying the registered users about the sites and events in the Turku region, the Turku 2011 programme and related information. The users can contact the persons responsible for the records (Section 2) if they do not want to receive any notifications.
5. Information stored in the record
The following information is collected from registered users: first name, last name, e-mail address, username, password, and profile information including information provided by the user, such as hobbies or interests. For the purposes of developing the online service, statistical information such as the user’s IP address, time of accessing the site, visited sites and type of browser may be collected.
6. Regular sources of information
The information stored in the record, as referred to in Section 5, is collected from the users themselves with their consent during the login process. The statistical information is collected with the registrant’s consent based on their use of the service.
7. Regular disclosure of information and their transfer outside the European Union or the European Economic Area
In accepting the terms and conditions of use of the www.turku2011.fi service, the registrant accepts that, in case the administration of the site is assigned to the city or to a part of the city concern, the information of registered users can be transferred in their entirety to the City of Turku or to a part of the city concern for the purposes of site administration.
8. Principles of securing the record
If manual material is created, it will be stored in a locked space. Computer-stored information: Only assigned personnel (administrator level) have access to the personal information of registered users. The service server uses appropriate technical security measures.
