Battle will take the stadium like a force of nature. This major production provides a highly visual story of survival that challenges us to consider the future of humanity, both as individuals and as social animals. What does being powerful or being without power at all mean if we cannot control the elements around us?
Taking over the Paavo Nurmi Stadium, director Kari Heiskanen will create a breathtaking performance full of stunning visual effects that portrays the borderline ritualistic battle between good and evil. Fire, water and the blowing wind beat the travellers forward in a miniature world where the inhabitants must fight for their right to survive.
Choreographer Ari Numminen will direct the performers acting, dancing and fighting on stage. The musical texture of the performance will be created by accordion artist Kimmo Pohjonen together with percussionist Sami Kuoppamäki, guitarist Timo Kämäräinen and the Proton String Quartet.
The performance will be produced by Popzoo Promotions Oy.
