But is the general public aware of the full potential of Turku-based design?
The Turku Design Phenomenon project will highlight designs originating in Turku to both design professionals and the general public. Turku Design Phenomenon is not a single event, but an undertaking that promotes design widely and in various contexts. The project will support the operational preconditions and boost cooperation within design. Small, growing businesses can therefore benefit from the power of the entire community, as the huge potential of Turku design gets promoted to new audiences.
Turku Design Phenomenon will ensure that design originating in Turku will get coverage in newspapers, retail outlets and to foreign visitors. The project will target both the general public and professionals working in the design industry. It will enhance the companies’ profile in the area and strengthen the cooperation network for design companies.
