Passing on a message of responsibility: protect the Baltic Sea.
Traditionally, people living in the archipelago have lit bonfires on the last Saturday of August to bid the summer farewell. Now, with the Capital of Culture year, the cities of Turku and Tallinn want to extend the tradition by challenging all the people, families, towns and cities by the Baltic Sea to give a promise of a better future for the endangered sea.
Julia Abankwa, Turku: To increase continously making the most eco-friendly choice in my everyday decisions. And to teach this to my children!
James McCardle, Tampere: I will not eat meat for one month.
Edina Ahlgrén, Turku: I never drive a motorboat on the Baltic Sea.
