Turku 2011 takes Finnish club music on tour

Turku, the European Capital of Culture in 2011, has every reason to be proud of its vital club music scene. Turku 2011 and club music festival Turku Modern are organising together the Night Moves – Club Hopping with Turku 2011 series of club events to showcase modern Finnish club music.

The tour kicked off at the Shanghai World Expo in the end of May. During the summer, clubbers were hopping in Helsinki and Turku. This autumn the club tour continues abroad to strengthen the international cooperation.  

“Showcasing brilliant Finnish club music producers, DJs and VJs internationally is the logical next step for ensuring the best possible international line-ups in Finland,” says Sampo Axelsson, Programme Manager for Turku Modern, who is coordinating the tour together with Turku 2011.
