Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra with Valery Gergiev at Turku

The celebrated Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, led by the legendary Valery Gergiev, visits Turku during two splendid evening, Ariadne auf Mariinsky and Illuminating Mariinsky on Aug 11th and 12th, at Turku Concert Hall.

On "Ariadne auf Mariinsky" the orchestra and 17 soloists from the Mariinsky theatre perform a concert version of Richard Strauss' opera "Ariadne auf Naxos". On Friday at "Illuminating Mariinsky" the orchestra, led by Valery Gergiev, plays excerpts from "Swan Lake", Tchaikovsky's 3rd symphony and Schostakovitch's 9th symphony.

Turku Music Festival Box Office is open Mo-Fr 12-15 at the Åbo Svenska Teater Box Office in the Hansa Shopping Centre. Tickets can also be purchased via Lippupalvelu and at the concert venua one hour before the concert.
