It does get better if you trade it in at the Night of the Arts

Cultural Flea Market organised by Capital of Culture volunteers, that is, a trade-in market for cultural items, will spring up for the second time in the market places of Turku – this time at the Night of the Arts.

Cultural Flea Market is a trade-in market for goods, where items will change owners without them having to loosen their purse strings. At the flea market operating under the 'Bring and take with you' principle no price tags will be placed on goods, but everybody can trade in their items for whatever items they find suitable.

The first Cultural Flea Market was organised in connection with the Eurocultured event last spring. The sympathetic event stopped many passers-by, and at the request of the public, the cultural flea market is now continuing.

The Cultural Flea Market is an event ideated and implemented by the volunteers of the Turku Capital of Culture. It is based on the thought which leans on recycling and through that on ecological responsibility: instead of throwing away items that are in good condition, let's recycle them instead so that the service life of items can be utilised as efficiently as possible.

The Cultural Flea Market will be organised at the Night of the Arts on 18 August 2011 from 5 pm to 10 pm at the Vähätori square. Come and join the trade-in.
