Event tickets provide discount on Logomo exhibitions

Capital of Culture Turku will offer a special benefit for those who buy tickets to major summer events as two people will get access to Logomo exhibitions for the price of a single normal ticket. The benefit is organised in cooperation with music festivals DBTL and Ruisrock as well as the Kalevan Kisat sports event and Turku Airshow 2011.

In accordance with the goals of the Capital of Culture, the aim of the ticket cooperation is to attract new audiences to experience culture and to provide Turku visitors with rich, versatile programme. The ticket benefit is valid a week prior to and after the actual event.

“For us, it is essential that visitors also discover Logomo as they come to Turku for various events. Cooperation with the events plays a major role,” explains Saara Malila, Communications Manager for the Turku 2011 Foundation.

In addition to the major public events, the Capital of Culture programme is being showcased in a number of events organised in Turku. The Capital of Culture year has attracted several new conferences and events to Turku, including the Finland in Our Hearts 2011 festival for expatriate Finns, organised in early July, and the Karjalaisten Kesäpäivät event for Karelian Finns. Also, the annual major Finnish-Swedish music event Sångfest will be organised in Turku this year.
