Water – Sense and Sensation

The exhibition presents Finnish, Swedish and Estonian contemporary art. The focus lies on photography and video art.  How does water feel like on the skin? What does it look and sound like? What kind of memories are brought to life by bathing or swimming?

SaunaLab: Sauna Obscura
Sauna Obscura is a sauna raft where you will bathe inside a camera. The summer scenery of the archipelago will be projected onto the sauna walls and the skins of the people inside the sauna.

Sauna Walk
You can come to the Sauna Walk to row, paddle or walk. In the end of the walk visitors will be offered a summery birch drink, and art that is connected to bathing. The luckiest ones also get to bathe in an art sauna.
