Sauna Vision – An Experience in the Middle of the City
The transparent sauna Solaris-sauna has been designed by the sculptor Hans-Christian Berg and the industrial designer Mika Ihanus. The Solaris-sauna offers a new perspective to having a sauna, as the sauna bather can observe the surrounding city while bathing. Nature with its changing lights, rain and storms is strongly present. The sauna also tests the borderlines between private and public spaces. The Solaris-sauna is located in the middle of the city.

Would you like to own an art-sauna? Solaris-sauna will be auctioned at the end of the summer. For more information visit eBay!

Enjoy a sauna also during rainy days!
Bring your own towel and a swimsuit! Visitors can use the outdoor showers in the Ekoluoto Art Park. For environmental reasons people must wash themselves without shampoo or other washing products.
Look at also the other sauna rules.
The Museum Centre of Turku is responsible for turning up the heat.
Solaris-sauna is one of the four saunas, designed by different artists and constructed in different areas of Turku. Sauna will invite the public to come and look inside. And to take a sauna, of course. Private sauna reservations can be made during the summer season, with the saunas open for the public at certain times.
