Energo - Soundtrack for the Universe

The a cappella group Rajaton together with the UNI band will perform Energo, the dramatised musical work composed by Ilkka Niemeläinen. An all-encompassing work combining sound, light and technology will take the audience on a spectacular journey that expands to cosmic proportions.

Human voices, acoustic and electronic musical instruments and a virtual video background set will deliver the performance. The singers and musicians will use instruments equipped with motion detectors to control the lights, sounds and the set for the performance, giving it an intriguing and unique dimension.

The performance provides an interesting and harmonic take on combining rhythm music, modern concert music, electronic elements and improvisation.

The multidisciplinary artwork Energo is a visual composition – an artistic view on the personality and birth of the Universe. It praises the beauty and diversity of life. In this equation, man is a dynamic and even dangerous actor.

The artwork will provide an experience that energises the emotions without requiring rationalisation – you have to see and experience the artwork to fully understand.

The performance is directed by Minna Nurmelin. The producers are Kim Kuusi and MusicMakers.

The performance lasts for 1,5 hours and does not contain an intermission.
