Biketrip to Portsa!

BIKETRIP TO PORTSA

Join the bike trip to the unique neighbourhood of Port Arthur, also known as Portsa! Along the route, the participant will hear and see historical facts about the area as well as see Portsa inspired performances by students from Juhana Herttuan lukio. You might also meet Mrs. Square Plan, Portsa guerillas and architect Lars Sonck!

  • The trip lasts app. 1 hour (about 5 kilometres) and is guided by professional bike guides from Turun Urheiluliitto. Trips are meant for adults and families, but not to the smallest children.
  • The trips leave in groups of 20 people from Varvintori 19.15 / 19.30 / 19.45 / 20.00 oclock. The last group is reserved for the holders of Kulttuurikortti.
  • Sign Up at Varvintori during 17.30 – 20.00. No participation fee.


Trips are part of the Art Bicycles - Bicycle Artists -event.

In the beginning of the summer 2011, an everyday shopping routine might turn into an art experience. Turku based artist Jouna Karsi (b. 1980) has created a set of sculptures, which will be exhibited among other sale articles in the Prisma-markets.
