Lights Concert Series

Kökar Church forms a union with nature. The infinite ocean meets the bright sky – without end. The ancient cemetery is the final resting spot for these people, living alongside the ocean. This inspired the young composer Jouni Hirvelä to write a piece that takes a stand for protecting the seas. New and old music create a unique program in this Turku Music Festival concert. The concert is a part of the Turku 2011 programme.
