Neighbourhood Weeks are now at Paattinen and Maaria

Neighbourhood Weeks will offer dozens of events during the weeks of Paattinen and Maaria. The elaborate programme will be chock-full of stories on the histories of the neighbourhoods and feature several traditional events

During the Paattinen and Maaria week 4–10 July 2011, the area’s history and present day will be explored by means of walking and bus tours, among other things. The programme will be suitable for the whole family, not forgetting our furry friends either: a match show that will be organised at Paattinen will select the ‘Paattinen Pooch’, a photography exhibition on the changing landscape will unveil the past in a concrete and heartfelt manner, and the church’s treasures and the new organ will be on display. The week will culminate in the traditional Paattinen Day.
